April 2003 - Palma End Results

We had our last day of sailing today, it was a hot sunny day and we had a light sea breeze of 6-8 knots. We did not have the best day finishing 10th in the first race and 21st inthe 2nd race but it was enough to give us 6th overall which we are haoppy with at the moment. Matt and Dan Belcher from Australia were unexpected winners from the Portuguese in a close 2nd. We now fly home for 5 days before flying back out to Nice to do Hyeres regatta.

The way we can make our biggest improvement from this regatta is to be more consistent on our starting. In general we are sailing well and going fast, Hyeres is often a windy tiring regatta so we will be resting over the next few day and doing some light fitness. I will write again at the beginning of the regatta. Thanks for everyones help and support!
